editing No.2

Friday, it was a really hard day, we were at the school from 3pm to 9 pm, without breaks. But I've enjoyed it really much, how the movie starts getting ready. What I didn't enjoy is Pinnacle program. It's fine because really easy to use it and understand it, but a lot of times it's just going crazy. Perhaps when we wanted to write the text, it wasn't in the right place nonetheless we've set it. The music has a big role in the movie, there is no scene without music. But we had the biggest problem with that, I think we used the program well, it just showed different things in the sound set what the program actually did. So we will have to solve that and do the final touches on the film, like using the effects.

editing No.1

On Thursday we've started to edit the film. Actually not editing, just choosing the usuable, good shoots, which took 3 hours. It was a long time doing just that, but without it we can't start the real editing.

shooting in flat

On Wednesday afternoon we had continued the shooting in a flat. It was harder than the previous shooting in Instant, because the scenes are uninterrupted, so we had to be very careful what's coming after another scene, what is the the ranking. There was problem with the lights, but we've changed the script a little bit, from daytime to nighttime, but it's actually fit to the story.

On Sunday evening we were shooting in Instant, in a bar. Luckily we could use the whole first floor, so we had a lot of time to do the best. The circumctances were okay, we could plug in the light set, use the camera. The actors are actor students, so it wasn't tough to shoot with them. One of the girls is my friend, Kata, who was a little bit afraid of, but after a beer everything worked better for her :) The other girl was Fruzsi Sulliman, who did a good job, the only problem was her undertone.

INT. KATE HOME - MORNING
Kate and Chris laying in the bed. Kate gets up and goes to the toilet, recognizing the toilet seat is not in the ‚right place‘. She is shouting out to Chris.
KATE
Oh shit! Chris???
Kate goes out from the bathroom. The alarm clock is ringing, Chris doesn’t care about it, makes Kate nervous.
KATE
Come on! Wake up!
She wakes up Chris finally. He gets up and goes to the bathroom grabs the toothpaste which is pushed in not at the end but at the middle. He starts swearing.
CHRIS
Why can’t she understand?...
At the breakfast Kate puts too much sugar in the coffee which makes Chris angry, he spits out.
CHRIS
Fucking syrup! What’s wrong with you?
Chris goes out from the kitchen and falls over Kate‘s clothes, bags and shoes. (5 minutes later) He is waiting at the door while the Kate is getting ready. He has enough and leaves without Kate.
CHRIS
Kate? Kate? I’m leaving.
Kate is searching for the keys.
EXT. ROAD – DAY
Kate runs toward the in the sreet.
KATE
Heeeey...
INT. SHOP – DAY
They go shopping Kate is trying on a lot of clothes, Chris just sits, waits and doesn’t like any of them.
EXT. ROAD – DAY
As they get out from the shop Chris lights a cigarette that the Kate doesn’t like.
KATE
Oh come on. Stop smoking please...
They say goodbye and leave.
INT: BAR – NIGHT (loud music, they are shouting)
The girls go out to the toilet and start rumoring about the boys. While the boys do the same.
MARLON
How is it going with Kate?
CHRIS
No joy yet.
MARLON
How long is it?
CHRIS
Six weeks.
MARLON
Six weeks? (surprisedly)
CHRIS
Nightmare right. She told me she didn’t want our relationship to start out on a phisical basis as that is how it principally is going to be defined from then on.
MARLON
Where did she came up with that?
CHRIS
She read it in Cosmopolitan.
MARLON
Six weeks and no sex?
CHRIS
I’ve got balls like fucking melons I’m telling you.
INT. BAR TOILET – NIGHT
KATE
I read it in Cosmopolitan.
MARISHA
It’s an interesting theory.
KATE
Actually it’s a nightmare. I’ve been desperate for doing it. But watching him suffer was just too much fun. You should try it with Marlon.
MARISHA
What, and deny myself the only pleasure I got from him? Did I tell you about my birthday?
KATE
No, What happened?
MARISHA
He forgot. Useless motherfucker.
INT. BAR – NIGHT
MARLON
Useless motherfucker, that’s what she called me. I said to her, look I’m sorry but these things happen, let’s put it behind us.
CHRIS
That’s fair enough.
MARLON
Yes, but then she finds out out I’ve got a ticket for Iggy Pop the same night.
CHRIS
Was she upset?
MARLON
Very, „It’s me or Iggy Pop, time to decide“.
CHRIS
So what are you going to do?
MARLON
Well I’ve paid for the ticket.
The girls come back to boy‘s table.
GIRLS
What are you two talking about?
BOYS
Football. What are you talking about?
GIRLS
Shopping.

We wrote the story of the film with tolnay reka. This Saturday two Rekas gonna come to me to write the script and starting to organize the shooting.

-9th scene: They go shopping and girl is trying on a lot of clothes, the boy just sits and waits and doesn’t like any of them.

-11th scene: The girl and her friend (girl) are waiting for the boys in a bar in the evening. They try to call them, one of them doen’t answer and the other one is turned off.

-12th scene: The boys arrive drunk. The girls go out to the toilet and start rumoring about the boys. While the boys do the same.

-13th scene: The girls come back to their table, and ask the boys about what they were talking. And boys ask the same.

END

Habits

This shooting was enjoyable. Ater we watched back the previous film, decided to shoot a new one. We did it very quickly with David, he was the actor I was the camareman. We did it in a documentary style, in one scene I've just followed him in the sreet, and I've tought it will be easy but it wasn't. So it was a very good experience for us. The editing was easier than we expected. The result was okay, but we can develope ourselves in the next movie.

first version

As we mentioned we started to shoot a previous film, in a factory. We always stucked in something, so finally after 1-night shooting finished the whole thing. anyway it was funny and very very cold :) Mate helped us, luckily he survived it.

week 3

We started to organise the short film with Dávid Gy. Our plan is a little bit confused, but tomorrow we gonna write script and storyboard, so i will upload it here.

week 2

It was really pleasurable. every groups of three got a storyboard about a love story. my team was david and gabor, i've enjoyed to work with them because we are getting well out of the school as well. i was the girl in the story /that's obvious :)/ and the boy was played by gabor. we tried to use the camera but it wasn't easy because david, the cameraman was very determind :) i hope we did a good job.

week 1

First week we got the basic information of video production. at the second part of the lesson we got to know each other with the camera :) everybody tried it in the garden just for fun.
